From 18 to 21 December, we would like to invite you to a meditation retreat at the Wat Phra Dhammakaya Benelux in Belgium.
On this retreat, we will focus on gratitude, an important quality in Buddhist teachings. Many people associate gratitude with being open to things that go well or things you’ve received in life. In addition, in Buddhism, we emphasize the gratitude we owe to those around us and aim to learn how we can become more mindful of it. On this retreat, we will explore how we can do more for those we are indebted to, as well as how we can practice gratitude in a joyful way.
You will have the opportunity to share your meditation experiences and ask questions to clear up any doubts. The monks will also share their meditation journeys and how the practice has helped them become more peaceful and happy. Teachers on this retreat will be Lp Sander en Lp Note.
The retreat is suitable for beginners as well as previous participants who have learned Dhammakaya meditation before. The temple will provide breakfast and lunch. Most participants will have their own room, and there will be secure lockers for storing electronics. Meditation will take place in a beautiful hall, as well as outside in the forest.
You can apply here. In this form, you’ll find more practical information as well.
This retreat is a combination of Buddhist teachings and meditation. If you prefer to focus on meditation technique instead, you might consider joining the November retreat instead.
Feel free to respond.
