From 17 to 20 July, we would like to invite you to a meditation retreat at the Wat Phra Dhammakaya Benelux in Belgium. It’s a great opportunity for complete beginners or previous participants who have learned Middle Way or Dhammakaya meditation in the past.
On this retreat, apart from long periods of meditation, we will also cover teachings as expounded by our deputy abbot in Thailand, Luang Por Dattajivo (shown in image). The teachings will deal with what he called “The Five Rooms of Life”, a constructive and powerful way of looking at our daily lives, and how we practice our habits through everyday routine.
You will have the opportunity to share your meditation experiences and ask questions to clear up any doubts. The monks will also share their meditation journeys and how the practice has helped them become more peaceful and happy. Teachers on this retreat will be Lp Sander en Lp Note.
The center will provide delicious breakfast and lunch. Most participants will have their own room, and there will be secure lockers for storing electronics. Meditation will take place in a beautiful hall, with the possibility of practicing outside if the weather permits.
You can apply here for the retreat. In this form, you’ll find more practical information as well.
